Why should you get involved?

First Tee- Birmingham offers an opportunity for young people to experience positive social interaction with their peers in safe places surrounded by caring adults. The experiences they have will have positive outcomes within our communities.

The First Tee Program focuses on teaching the Nine Core Values™ of Confidence, Courtesy, Honesty, Integrity, Judgment, Perseverance, Respect, Responsibility and Sportsmanship through interactive learning activities which incorporate fun-filled games along with golf instruction into each session.

Through our program, kids will learn skills that stay with them for life:

• Understanding and managing emotions
• Resolving conflicts
• Setting up step-by-step goals
• Planning for the future
• Appreciating diversity
• Golf fundamentals and advanced techniques

Our goal is to increase every kid’s chances for success in life through involvement in our program.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of individuals, foundations and organizations to support our programs. All donations are greatly appreciated as we seek to positively impact area youth. We are Building Game Changers.  Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
